Beautiful lawns look great, cool our environment, and create useable space to walk and play. Keeping your lawn healthy and happy is the first step toward having a great-looking yard. In some places in the world, having a great lawn happens almost naturally with minimal effort. Unfortunately, having a great lawn here in central Texas is a little more complicated.
Lawns need food, water, and proper maintenance. It sounds simple enough until factor in all the variables that can impact your lawn…
Fortunately, grass is forgiving. Small positive steps will go a long way towards the results you are looking for. Grass does not need a perfect growing environment, but it does need “good enough.”
Here at Top Choice Lan Care, we help with all the basics: irrigation, fertilization, and lawn mowing. Irrigation covers the water needs of a lawn. Fertilization, combined with sunlight, allows the grass to produce food. Lawn mowing helps manicure and promote good growth in the lawn.
Irrigation is an essential part of a healthy landscape. In the Texas heat, water is often the difference between a healthy, vibrant landscape and a dead, crispy hellscape.
We specialize in expert, friendly service and have a passion for water conservation and water quality. We believe you should fully evaluate your irrigation system at least annually — and often more often. It should be adjusted seasonally and as a landscape evolves.

Bed Maintenance
Bed maintenance is our shorthand for maintaining the manicured planting beds in your yard. This primarily includes weed control and shrub trimming. After weeding and trimming, we clean up and dispose of all the debris in your beds.
Other companies offer bed maintenance programs, but we like to keep things simple. All our bed maintenance programs are billed hourly to make sure you only pay for what you need.
Sod and Grass Installation
Sod is the quickest way to achieve lush green grass, but it’s not always the best option for every yard. We often hear, “grass used to grow here,” and there’s probably a good reason why it’s now dead. Things change: trees grow, there may be more shade, or maybe your dog really loves to run around in that area.
Mulching
One of the secrets to an amazing low maintenance yard is the proper use of mulch. It can help reduce weeding, watering, and even fertilization. In short, it makes life easier.
Patios, Paths and Rocks
Rocks and stone are a great way to improve your landscaping for years to come. They can add form and function to any yard … and they’re a great way to save water!
Tree Installation
After delivery, proper tree planting and installation is imperative to the growth and survival of your new trees. Our trained professionals complete important steps necessary to help your tree get the best start possible, ensuring that your new trees live a long and healthy life. We will also help you understand essential watering schedules needed during the first few months after your tree is planted.
Tree Trimming and Pruning
Tree trimming is an important part of property management. Trees are wonderful, and they add tremendous value when maintained appropriately.
Trimming also helps keep our landscape usable. We often trim up the tree canopy so we can walk or drive under the tree. Yards with a lot of trees can feel small and enclosed, but raising the canopies can open up the space and make the yard feel larger and sod installation much more doable. It will also open up the space so air can circulate freely. The air helps dry out the space, which limits mosquitoes and helps limit the spread of fungi.
